Centre Chairperson: Dr. Steven Lim

Welcome to the Centre for Advanced and Sustainable Materials Research (CASMR)! This research centre is dedicated to members who are interested to work on photonics and advanced materials related research. It is our goal to promote research excellence from research discoveries to commercialization in establishing a complete and healthy R&D ecosystem chain within our centre members. We also wish to identify research and scholarship activities that are of high importance in the area of sustainable water and energy development with photonics technologies and advanced materials, develop R&D projects related to the sustainable water and energy which each of the member can contribute in building up the whole research chain of research focus areas and also to promote prototyping of the research outputs for showcase and commercialization in future. We hope to gain national recognition as an active research centre that are active in sustainable development of global critical issues and at the same time provide contribution to industry through providing engineering and scientific solution.
